HKMU unveils development blueprint to further leverage its advantages as a university of applied sciences

Briefing the media on HKMU’s future plans, President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, alongside the senior management team, stressed that HKMU would strengthen its capabilities in teaching, research and innovation to nurture a new generation of professionals in alignment with the National 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong’s development priorities. 

 

HKMU hosts flag-raising ceremony on National Security Education Day

Representatives from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison provided guidance to HKMU’s Student Flag-guard Team on flag-raising techniques and foot drills at the invitation of the University.

Seminar explores latest developments in AI and digital education

Co-hosted by HKMU and the Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Association, the “AI+” Digital Education Seminar attracted nearly 250 participants, including principals and teachers from schools and kindergartens, university students, and representatives from various sectors to explore the latest developments in AI and digital education.

HKMU research team secures over HK$3.4 million in funding to develop first Cantonese post-drinking speech detection system

Funded by the Smart Traffic Fund, a research project led by Associate Dean of the School of Education and Languages Prof. Peppina Lee Po-lun (left) aims to develop an AI-based speech detection system as a self-monitoring tool to help users assess the effects of alcohol consumption and determine their fitness to drive.
