Four distinguished persons receive Honorary Doctorates

HKMU conferred honorary doctorates upon Professor Sylvia Fung Yuk-kuen, Dr Ina Ho Chan Un-chan, Mr Benedict Sin Nga-yan and Professor Xu Bing, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to society.

“Beyond Distance” Exhibition marks the opening of the HKMU Museum of Modern Chinese Literature

The new museum has officially opened its doors with its inaugural exhibition, titled “Beyond Distance: Half a Lifelong Friendship of Eileen Chang, Stephen Soong, and Mae Fong Soong”. The exhibition showcases over 120 precious items from renowned writer Eileen Chang and her close friends, Stephen Soong and Mae Fong Soong.

HK$4 million donation from Tin Ka Ping Foundation supports prison inmates and promotes Chinese culture

HKMU has received a generous donation of HK$4 million from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation to support prison inmates in their pursuit of further education. The donation will also help promote the future development of the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture.

HKMU introduces two new professional programmes and a “Minor in Global Studies”

HKMU will launch two new programmes in the 2026/27 academic year: a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Diagnostic Radiography and a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in Robotics and Automation Engineering. In addition, the University will introduce a “Minor in Global Studies” to enhance students’ global exposure.

37th Congregation

The four-day Congregation awarded approximately 4,800 degrees and other academic qualifications to graduates.

Strategic industry partnerships provide students with practical experience in innovation and technology

HKMU’s fourth annual Industry Engagement Day and Employers’ Luncheon, themed “Bridging HKMU Talents and Tomorrow’s Opportunities”, brought together nearly 100 partners and employer representatives from various sectors.
