Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) successfully hosted its annual “HKMU Homecoming Day 2025” on 7 June (Saturday). Under the theme “Connect ‧ Embrace”, the event focused on “connecting” alumni, staff and students with the University and “embracing” their return to campus. Approximately 320 alumni, staff and students, along with their families and friends, gathered to celebrate HKMU’s latest developments and achievements through a series of engaging guided tours and workshops.

Eric Chung, widely known as “Chung Sir”, always impresses the crowd with professionalism and warmth as a sports programme host. Behind the television screen, he had the exact same character as he shared his study and life with lessons and jokes.

During the 36th Congregation, approximately 2,100 bachelor’s degrees and over 1,000 postgraduate degrees and other academic qualifications were conferred on graduates.

The University held its second Mainland Alumni Dinner on 5 September in Shenzhen to foster connections with alumni and friends from various sectors and share the University's latest achievements and developments.
